Visual Voices for Change is a journey into the many meanings of kindness.

This year over 700 designers from more than 70 countries have reflected on what kindness means to them — toward themselves, others, humanity, and the planet — harnessing the strategic and persuasive power of good design to bring these reflections to life through more than 750 typographic artworks.

This book is an immersive journey across cultures, languages, and continents, offering hundreds of interpretations of kindness — bold and audacious, calm and introspective, rooted in personal experience or serving as social and political commentary. Browsing through its pages can hardly leave you indifferent, as each reader is likely to find a message that resonates deeply with them.

This year’s edition is also supported by a distinguished lineup of international guest artists who contributed exclusive original posters: Joshua Davis (New York, US), Birgit Palma (Barcelona, ES), Mat Voyce (London, UK), Pann Lim, Kinetic (Singapore, SGP), Vanessa Zúñiga Tinizaray (Loja, EC), David Oku (London, UK), Carina Lindmeier (Vienna, AT), Samar Maakaroun, Pentagram (London, UK / LBN), Duy Nguyen, M — N Associates (Ho Chi Minh City, VN), Kris Andrew Small (Sydney, AU), and Ibrahim Zaki (Dubai, DXB).

With a foreword by Steven Heller, and endorsed by renowned figures, magazines, awards, creative events, and institutions in the global visual culture scene, the book documents the evolution of the international typographic campaign Fight for Kindness launched in 2022. Rather than presenting design as a neutral discipline, the book argues that every visual decision carries meaning and consequence. It invites readers to reconsider the role of the designer in today’s interconnected and media-saturated world.

“Typography isn't just how we read words, it's how we feel them. On a subconscious level, letterforms can add a powerful layer of expressiveness to the textual meaning of a message; they can create an empathetic connection, elevate values, and—why not?—trigger positive reactions to foster positive change.”

— Debora Manetti, Program Director at TypeCampus and Co-founder of Zetafonts

Produced through artworks in 34 scripts and languages, Visual Voices for Change demonstrates how design can break boundaries, spark dialogue, and unite communities around shared human values.

This publication represents the fourth annual edition of the global Fight for Kindness initiative — a movement that each year invites designers worldwide to explore empathy, inclusion, and human dignity, promoting a culture of kindness through typographic expression.

"Empathy, emotional intelligence, and kindness are no longer just personal values — they’re professional advantages among future developments. I believe the designer’s role will increasingly be to act as a cultural interpreter — someone who can bridge past and future, have “glocal” perspective, understand human needs and master technological tools. Kindness, in this sense, is the music—the strategy that sets the rhythm for building a design system on deeper principles, and giving each element the right touch so the work resonates both functionally and emotionally."
